Tiger Strikes Asteroid Philadelphia kicks off the New Year with a solo exhibition by Jeremy Maas, curated by Joanna Platt.

The world is your playground. This work explores a fascination with alternate worlds built for specific purpose and function. An appeal that stems from the entertainment world, marketing world and a somewhat meta look at the evolving state of the commercial art industry. What does it mean to desire to not only be a voyeur, but to immerse oneself into another reality? How does our role as producers influence those worlds that we consume? I think about these questions, and draw from real and imaginary landscapes, to create living abstractions somewhere in between.
