PHILADELPHIA- Tiger Strikes Asteroid is pleased to announce the opening of its April exhibition, In Step, a new installation by Anne Schaefer.

In her new installation, Anne Schaefer fuses dynamic color and pattern relationships with the unique dimensions of the gallery to create an immersive, patterned environment. The title of the piece references the main wall’s stepped pattern, the act of creating a piece based on the dimensional constraints of the gallery, as well as the viewer’s experience of being compelled to move around the space to the cadence of the pattern and color.    

Anne Schaefer is a graduate of Cranbrook Academy and Washington University.  She has been an apprentice and Print fellow at The Fabric Workshop and Museum in Philadelphia.  Schaefer has exhibited widely through the United States and currently lives and works in Philadelphia.
