LOS ANGELES, CA - “Kindred”, the second show of artist project Technicolor Skies, features a collection of 2D work, sculpture, and performance capturing the artists’ various ways of navigating the groups to which they belong. There is no doubt that we stand during a time of rapidly changing social convention and shared experience. How can we understand this evolution, and where do we go from here? From lighthearted commentary on the communal isolation of apartment life to poignant meditations on Roman ritual, “Kindred” takes the works of six different artists and, with them, paints a richly detailed exploration of community and our places within it.
