Chicago, IL, December 10, 2017 – Tiger Strikes Asteroid is pleased to announce “Reveries,” a solo exhibition of paintings by Kristy Luck.

Kristy Luck’s rich, subtly dynamic paintings evoke a mythic symbolism that emerges through intuitive imagination and fluid structure. Approaching representation suggestively, and from personal observation of things close to her everyday experience, the forms display a biomorphic, visceral sensuality. At the same time, her technique involves a quiet, methodical labor that finds movement in softly graded edges, spatial tension, and talismanic, architectural integrity.

KRISTY LUCK (American) lives and works in Los Angeles, CA. She received an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2014 and graduated with a BFA from Rockford University in 2010. Her works have been exhibited in London, LA, New York, Chicago and Iceland with recent shows at HILDE, Beers London, Harpy and Shrine. She was recently awarded a Lighthouse Works Fellowship for Fall 2017.
